"I am very pleased with the market so far, as the red brick is as close as we could get to Ruabon brick and it looks good". (Cllr Haydn Taylor, Wrexham Leader, 23 February 1991)

Throughout our exhibition 'We Can Only See Today' at Ty Pawb, Wrexham we occupied three specially designed work stations. The casting of specially produced red 'bricks' of soap acted as a pointer to the Dennis Ruabon red bricks, local to Wrexham. These famous red bricks were used to build the Port Sunlight village on the Wirral Peninsula, including the original soap factory and workers' houses. These soaps were available for free at the closing ceremony of the exhibition to all attendees to the exhibition that collected a stamp from both the gallery and one of Ty Pawb's traders.
