Artist Statement

My work seeks to engage with the experience of trying to fit in. It is a personal subject matter, exploring my own experiences of intersectionality ranging from class and gender to sexuality and disability. My work explores ideas on a physical level through the materiality of different mediums and how they relate to each other. I have been making art for 30 years and the subject matter has changed and evolved , but always returns to personal experience and our shared understanding, so opening up a dialogue.
