Formations (2020) is a series of photographs in which I ‘perform’ the quarried rock, using a printed blanket that features a photograph taken in the quarry. I was interested in becoming enveloped by the landscape, as it embodied me and I it. The images also led me to consider the skin or boundary of the body and of the rock, as a process of becoming.
