Tony Stallard

Essex
35 years creating public artworks. Through these projects have conducted research and development within architectural and engineering practices

Concepts To explain briefly my current work involves mixed media with light for exhibitions, urban sculpture trails and sculptural commissions. All of these works are site-specific light sculptures. In regard to the commissions, these involve architectural and engineering collaborations. I am fully versed in all aspects required for Public Art Projects. My professional practise with public art has given me a full working knowledge of community arts, collaborative projects, both with other artists and with the general public as well as co ordination of these type of works towards finalisation. This usually requires discussion and collaboration when implementing artworks and the responsibility that comes for realising these projects. Some Examples: 'Genesis' Sculptural Installation, (Hart 2001, Hull) 'Angel' Artist Residency (Nykarleby Finland) 'The Frankenstein Project' Public Artwork (Blackpool Promenade) 'Drop in the Ocean' RDSS Beacon Museum (Cumbria) a work just recently finished that is touring Cumbria.Influences Scientific research, film, contemporary art in generalCareer path Artistic Education: 1996/97 Tower Hamlets College, Digital Image Manipulation 1995 Duncan of Jordanstone, College of Art, M.F.A.
