      Biography

Painting is the filter for my inner monologue about the world.

There are currently two main streams of work : paintings that derive from an interest in landscape as a place of conflict, and paintings that sit on the boundary of abstraction and figuration and that are, perhaps, an expression of female experience.

I collect words and phrases from widely diverse types of text and these underpin my working practice, being sometimes the catalyst for a painting, or resolving a painting with a title.
