My paintings express a perspective of female experience. I'm also interested in landscape as a place of conflict. Sometimes these two themes manifest together in a work. As a potter I make semi-functional stoneware pots that are often also informed by these interests. I was a successful freelance designer of contemporary rugs for a number of years and my ongoing work in gouache (not posted on Axisweb) is a continuation of my design interests.
