"Music is liquid architecture; architecture is frozen music’ wrote Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. I believe there is a connection between music and architectural forms. In my illustrated talk on photography and art I have matched the prevalent or pioneering music of the time with the pioneering photographers in the same era. For example with Eugene Atget I would relate his photographs to Faure in the time of La belle epoch in France, Walker Evans i would link to the Mississippi Delta Blues and jazz of the thirties in the USA and with Henri Cartier-Bresson I would relate to Erik Satie. I know that music has been my faithful companion and as a lone wanderer with my camera I am emotional connected to both.
