I'm really excited to announce that I will be taking up post of Visual Arts Manager (Curator) at Aberystwyth Arts Centre from 1 November. I've spent twelve and half years developing Wrexham's arts and cultural ecology, first at the Regional Print Centre and latterly at OW Oriel Wrecsam.

During my time with Wrexham County Borough Council the OW team have picked up Oriel Wrecsam, which lost revenue funding from The Arts Council of Wales in 2011 and was just surviving on £30,000 of grant funding and appeared to be limping towards closure, to increase support from ACW to new levels, resulting in a £2.3m investment in a £5m capital project designed by Featherstone Young Architects that could transform and revitalise the town. I can't thank ACW enough for their support and enthusiasm for our work.

As a child I would take the train from Porthmadog to Aberystwyth to visit the Arts Centre, so I am delighted to have the opportunity to work there. I'm really looking forward to working with artists and communities and developing a relevant programme for Aber.
