I investigate places, surfaces and artefacts that expose their materiality, revealing their history.  In the world around me I am drawn to the ruined and fragile which is captured in my documentary photography of the out of place and the overlooked.  By exploring these edgeland spaces, I draw attention to the colour, surfaces and distinctive qualities that are found there.   The palette of my work has developed from the subtleties of colour found there. The placing of the colour panels reflects the subdued colour and changing textures of edgeland spaces.
