Works that use reports, documents and declassified files found in archives located on the Web, printed on A4 paper and, using graphite, drawn over the reverse or ‘blank side’.
From a distance the ‘papers’ can appear hazy or blank, as if ‘nothing there’; but close up, details show imagery such as body parts, animals and insects, machinery, and more abstract graphics. Details views are added to show how each work appears when viewed up close.
Examples of reports used include US Intelligence notes on the Tiananmen Square upring in 1989, Grenfell Inquiry, The Leuchter Report (seminal in claiming 'holocaust denial').
