Metal, fimo. From my recent solo, 'The Ball of My Foot', Seager Gallery, London.

Making Potions from Mums Posh Shampoos (2019), is symptomatic of my material discoveries throughout my lifetime. It also explores my interest in post-instagram aesthetics, and the way artists sanitise their explorations online. I am intrigued by soft and hard forms combined, with a cartoonish edge. This piece also focuses largely on polished perfection, presenting a trend-aesthetic form on a pastel table, not to act as furniture, but to act as a pedestal for this one form. This mirrors the algorithmic scrolling to find 'tasty' sculptural forms amongst the coolest artists on Instagram.
