The ESEM microscope is used for materials technology and works with dry materials. It is the extent of the magnification of what we recognise as a constituent of ourselves as biological beings that is fascinating. The skin being our largest organ.
The image needs no colour. It looks like a vast landscape, a mountain range or a choppy sea. Yet we have this on the end of our fingers.

I have worked on this image and printed it on a banner taking it up to a print size of W 2000mm X H 1350mm. The effect of this sizing which was very successful.
