2018On visiting St Wilfrid’s Church, I was drawn to the tapestry kneelers: a touch of the domestic and secular, almost 200 kneelers worked by 70 women in honour of loved ones in the parish. I made my own kneeler listing the names of the women who have sewn. White on white, barely visible. Honoring those acts often unnoticed, uncelebrated, often done by women.
