Using a combination of digital and analogue processes, I explore the ordinary qualities of everyday items including a white shirt, the sewing needle and obsolete technology. Simple objects are subject to complex questions concerning production, labour, value and the changing industrial landscape both nationally and internationally. Manual and technological dexterities are explored in relation to the body, specifically hand to eye co-ordination, posture and repetition.

Cross discipline dialogue is central to my research and art making processes and I have completed residencies with engineers, architects and archivists. Exploring processes and procedures of other professions facilitates not only the development of knowledge but also new ways of thinking and considering common ground.
Working with the idea that ‘process is practice’, I work to commission, on residency and self initiated projects, using historical and contextual research. Outputs include installation, photography, video and drawing in addition to research papers, blogs and artist talks.
