These piece explores notions of the individual and the collective and is in response to the philosopher Gorgio Agamben’s dictum ‘the coming community is whatever community’. The coming community for Agamben is one which does not presuppose commonality or identity as a condition of being. The figures here, stripped of any visual markers of identity are arranged in a way that is almost chromosomal, a reminder of the universal textures of life.
