    Artist Statement

Marcia Teusink's artwork addresses time, materials, care and fallibility. She investigates the way natural forces return our more geometrical, industrial designs to softer and more organic forms, as well as the impact of human neglect and poor planning on our cities and structures. Her work addresses the disastrous effects of climate change on the built environment as well. Investigations in painting, drawing, mixed media and wall installations look at the deconstruction and remaking of forms through a multidisciplinary practice that includes painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and mixed media..
