Throughout my work I explore the continuing themes of comfort and nourishment as both staples of survival.

My fascination with space, material and process combine to create a practice based in sculpture, performance and drawing, using both soft and hard materials. I endeavor to create a certain kind of aesthetic, which brings together handmade and digital processes, coupled with a conceptual thread that runs throughout. The body plays a key role within my practice, through process, performance and viewer interaction it transforms an object and our perception.

I utilize a range of materials often taken from every day use that play on multiple senses, drawing the viewer in and creating an interaction within the exhibition space. Often these materials have a temporary or ephemeral quality reflecting the cyclic nature of life and an ever-changing society in need of sustenance. I am attracted to the notion of memory that can be evoked by touch and fragrance, sometimes pleasant, but more intrigued are we by those experiences that repulse and revolt.
