Klee's Geometric Cityscapes5th November 2015 - 13th May 2016
Location: Crabtree Junior School
This workshop examines the abstract land- and cityscapes of Paul Klee, looking particularly at colour and form, and how he varies the mood and feeling of each painting as he changes these elements. The workshop is aimed at Primary school children. Using pre-cut geometric shapes, oil pastels and watercolours, the children select their forms and colours to create their own individual cityscapes.
These workshops took place during the academic year 2015-2016 which was designated Crabtree's Year of Art. The work was mounted and exhibited as part of the celebratory Open Day in July 2016.
