This work is an installation response to my experience of walking, observing and collecting along Byway 745 in The Hampshire Hangers. I use suspended and semi-suspended vehicle detritus and beech leaves. Moving images are projected onto it. All materials have been collected from the location over several years. The video is made with mobile phone footage from repeatedly walking Byway 745 and picking up detritus left by off-roaders. The audio track records my footsteps in the mud and on chalk along with natural sounds of the hillside. This contrasts with the destructive imagery of the broken car parts and the piles of rubbish.
