Between Old Bones and New Moons is a solo presentation curated by the Icelandic Venice Pavilion curator Birta Guðjónsdóttir at the Van Gelder Galerie in Amsterdam.
It's a show about ritual and magic, about old knowledge and human circularity.
It consists of glass, ceramics and film.
It blends the myths and stories of the magical Sámi Reindeer through a hallucinatory journey through a marionette theatre and a sound score created by field recordings and a narrational voice.
In the room objects made as parts of the human body, old and fantastical, creates an odd friction between death and other dimensions.
The exhibition opens 22 November in Amsterdam as part of Amsterdam Art Weekend.
