This work was made at the very end of a warm and perfect summer, when the first hint of autumn could be felt in the air. I could almost locate the shift in season to a split second. It felt like a light switch being turned off.

Exploration of the natural world in terms of colour, light, texture and so on is important of course, but this was not in the forefront of my mind when making ‘Fall’. Rather, it was a precise response to a moment in time at a particular spot on earth.
