Judith Beeby is a contemporary abstract painter based in Wiltshire, UK. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally since graduating with an MA in fine art from Bath Spa University in 2016.
Her work is a celebration of colour and her paintings are created by manipulating the movement of paint, blending different hues and tones, changing the viscosity and using gravity to dictate the paint’s movement. She is fascinated by the relationship between art and science.
The results of this process become a subjective, fantasy landscape which engages the viewer. One can get lost and drawn in to the experience of interpreting the colour and shapes. The addition of a layer of resin gives the work a depth that enhances this dreamlike quality.
There have been several series of her paintings inspired by aerial photographs of the earth and satellite images of space.
