Easterby’s practice focuses on the boundaries between raw elemental materials, sound technology, composition, landscape and architecture. Communicating across disciplines including landscape design, installation, sound and performance has allowed the development of work that engages with landscape, communities and professionals throughout the UK and the world for over 25 years.
Motivated by the belief that an ecologically diverse landscape is essential for people, for planet and for sustainability, this work has explored the methods and changing perceptions of land use and its implications, and how to communicate these issues within the public realm through the contrasting mediums of the arts, science and technology.
