Artist Statement

Growing up during the 80s, analogue photography was the norm and upon graduating university the digital revolution took place and consumed the environments I worked in.  A recent change in personal direction as brought me back to the analogue techniques and processes, being drawn initially towards the landscape.

As I continue to explore the UK and international locations, how I represent these visually is beginning to change.   Recently, I have been experimenting with different printing techniques, both style and size, and also for the first time, producing colour film photography and prints.

My prints are handmade in the darkroom, keeping a tangible connection to the landscapes and subjects that I photograph.
