I am inspired by changing spaces and turbulence at ground level, in entangled ecosystems and their residue. My approach has been described as forensic. In my conceptual and multidisciplinary visual art and writing I focus on small objects in order to meditate on knowns and unknowns that agitate and reverberate to form concepts relative to place therefore to speculate on multiplicitous experiences of being.

My work variously appears as sculpture, textile, relief and intaglio print, drawings, writing, wearable art, installation and digitally manipulated imagery and animation. It often features salvaged objects and materials, as well as traditional and digital media and, occasionally, plants and live organisms. All my art is based on observation and I use the difference between form and detail to invite the audience into my work and make them look more closely.

I hold a First Class BA Hons in Fine Art & Contemporary Culture, 2019, from University of Gloucestershire, and a BA Hons History of Art, English and Media & Communications, 1993, from University of Wolverhampton. I currently share a studio in Coventry, am a member of Coventry ArtSpace Advisory Board, and am currently undertaking a residency for Coventry Biennial of Art with renovations at The Empire exhibition space. I run my contemporary art practice parallel to my graphic design business, ongoing since 2002. I live with my family in the West Midlands, UK.
