Bogey Ball
2002 - 2004For this long term project Ford was constantly collecting his bogies in an eggcup and making them into a ball, in an attempt to create an egg-sized mucus mass. Picking and collecting bogies on a daily basis, and adding them to the ball periodically, was an obsessive and frustrating process, demanding a lot of commitment on Ford's part. Bogies are essentially comprised of dust and skin cells, and so Bogey Ball is actually a physical record of all the different places Ford has been and people he's met.
