According to Ansel Adams, 'A good photograph is knowing where to stand'. I believe that urban landscape photograph is one of the most relevant topics with people's life, which could significantly attract audience attention and arouse them rethink own experiences. Urban landscape photography attempts to capture a moment in nature reveal special meanings. As learning more though meticulous studying and training, I have realised that the beauty of surface of a photo can only attract limited attention, then audience may forget of the work very soon. In terms of theme photography, photographer needs to develop detail content behind surface, and leave a space for consideration from audience own perspective along with individual past experience and personal value. Concerning with the theme of urban landscape, my focus on the theme is to express development of a city is actually required by people's demand. In fact, what I would like to explore is the relationship between urban construction and history development of a city, through details to life, I wish audience emerge more resonance. In terms of content of shooting, through the comparison between eastern and western cities in various sceneries, it obviously can be seen that there are dramatically different in life atmosphere and living conditions under variable cultural background in distinctive areas in the world. Nevertheless, a number of similarities of cities cannot be neglected to some extent. For instance, people's certain activities such as living, travelling, social, purchasing and spirit leads to common needs, therefore, cities are more likely to own similar system and infrastructure, however, very variable life styles and features. People are contributing for the city while asking for certain things back. If there are memories and symbols in a city, it will maintain thinking and soul. Also, a city would be a sponge, absorbing people's memories and let them expanding further.
