The focus of the 6 month residency was to develop an Art Strategy for two new cycle and walking routes in Blyth and Bedlington, presenting a series of innovative designs that aim to enliven the cycling experience, as well as engaging with the local community.
Activities carried out during the residency include: touring Blyth and Bedlington for two months on a red Art Tricycle, to invite local people to post their ideas in a specially designed mobile post box; delivering an artist talk at Northumberland College; creating a special blog section in order to share the project’s diary, record comments and input from the students, community and the wider audience.
