York
Installation Artist based in York, making public engagement work about well-being and self-care for festivals, events public and private commissions welcomed.

My practice centres around well-being interuptions or happenings that uplift and empower and always provoke conversation, offering the public an experience, usually during events, that will make them stop and re-examin. The underpinning theories are often rooted in philosophy and ancient belief systems, are they valuable in our modern experience? and how can they be accessed through art? Even though the work sits in a digital environment, I am drawn to a low tech approach/user experience as I believe its more engaging.

The growth of festivals (before covid - and after recovery) have proven to be economically valuable as well as providing a chance to diversify the art and well-being experiences within cities. I would like to continue my work within these festivals by building my portfolio of projects that could be re-used for different events. The Happiness Sum has been re-booked twice already since completion, and I have ambitions to build several other works that could be used in different indoor/outdoor settings and potentially at scale.
