The works explore the issues that can build up inside us and the processes that we, as individuals, can take in order to overcome them. The works deal with the notion of transition, going back in order to create a sense of reconnection before invoking a feeling of moving forward. They appear primitive and ritualistic, as the reclamation process begins and the physical and emotional cleansing takes place. The works are meant to be positive, revisiting places and reworking memories in order to overcome life's traumas and move on. Some of the works first appear to hold a sense of entrapment and loss, and the objective of the performance is very much about releasing these feelings. Working mainly from memory, the works tend to be performance based, and tend to hold a linear narrative structure throughout. The fixed camera angles focus intently on the performance as the artist focuses solely on the act itself.
