Artist Statement

I'm a materials enthusiast, engaged in making, cooking and eating with people across disciplines to understand the reciprocal relationships between the materials and creatures we are.

My work spans sculpture, collaborative workshops, collecting and making as research, often involving edible materials. What connects these activities is curiosity and enthusiasm for the nature of materials, and a growing sense of what can be understood about ourselves through complicity with other matter. Through physical engagement with materials, I find a way to explore the borders of the body, and what we might exchange with our environment.
