Eldi Dundee is a NY born dual-national artist who has lived in London more than half her life. Her practice consists of an interchange of painting, photography, assemblage, performance, installation, writing, drawing and sculpture. Dundee studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts for her MA, University of East London for a postgraduate certificate, and Byam Shaw (under the umbrella of Central St Martins / University of the Arts London) for her undergraduate degree. She has a background in performance (acting & singing), and studied Human Ecology in America before emigrating to the UK.
Alongside her art practice and the occasional acting job, she has taught art at primary and secondary school levels (KS2, 3 & 4), drama and movement at FE levels (BTEC L1-3), coordinated a programme of lectures for an alternative postgraduate art school, has acted as peer mentor on postgraduate art courses, edited publications and websites, and currently juggles being in a research role on a feminist social history project with working in the Art Department for a feature film (in production) as a set dresser, all while raising a teenager as a single parent.
