Frequent weather and cloud observations captured in a concertina sketchbook exhibited as part of PhD submission with Lancaster University. John Ruskin wrote a prophetic lecture "Stormcloud of the Nineteenth Century" published as text in 1884. In this lecture Ruskin's interpretation of irregular weather patterns are interpreted as signs for mankind's transgressional behaviour towards the environment, natural and human. Ruskin's moral vision is pertinent to the contemporary ecological crisis.
