The Obsessive Compulsive Practice26th May 2017 - 11th June 2017
Much art is born out of the need to make, a distracting busyness, a positive manifestation of anxiety.
Obsessive collecting and hoarding, painstaking, repetitive use of materials or processes, many artists have some sort of obsessive compulsive behaviours.
The purpose of 'The Obsessive Compulsive Practice' is to highlight theses methods; whether this is the process of making work, the research of objects and ideas or an over-immersion of processes.
'The Obsessive Compulsive Practice' will explore and combine the different materialisation of these.
Curated by Clare Winnan and Anya Beaumont as part of the Fringe Arts Bath 2017.
