Identity - Laiden. The forth of a series of seven paintings in print shows how spent flowers mature into a realm of physical development as the flower’s purpose changes from fertilization to the importance of new life, held within its structure as a seed. Laiden refers to the heavy dusting of the pollen as well as a beautiful and unique female with ambition. This painting received a Silver-Gilt medal at the 2015 RHS London Botanical Art Show.
