My multidisciplinary practice uses sculpture, print, painting and photography to link plants to the contemporary arts. My initial focus is on the individuality and asymmetrical contours of senescence in spent flowers with my recent master’s combining biophysics and plant science on the movement of air around a floating plumed seed. Taking these curiosities as an initiative I create a view to observe the irregularity and unpredictability of aspects of nature.

The artworks titled Tri Angle and White Hole explored the notion of floating and the later also defined the spent energy used by encapsulating it as hot air in a large weather balloon, giving this phenomenon a visual concept. The title while hole is in parallel to the discovery of the black hole that was discovered in 2019 as I saw the radius of the balloon as an entrance a hole of my spent energy. This led environmental artworks titled A Play, With Light and Chicken Coop. Her latest painting for her degree show continued to look into our atmosphere and used the concept of a symbiosis relationship to incorporate the ‘Titles and Statements’ from her social and environmental artworks as an important aspect to its narrative.  Her latest film titled Extremity, reverts to her interest in what is floating in our atmosphere and is a film that marks a silent space between us, the space of social distancing; developing the periphery sphere of staying safe. It tries to mark this invisible boundary by drawing circles in the air to move the particulates - suspended microscopic particles of solid or liquid matter; she defines this space by its vortex to create the possibility that this boundary can be felt, seen or even heard.

From my concerns for the ecology of plants my outlook has broadened to include the environment with the aim of drawing attention and arousing deeper curiosity. The artwork titled White Hole defined spent energy by encapsulating it as hot air in a large weather balloon, giving this phenomenon a visual concept. From this realisation my environmental artworks have incorporated a circle as a symbol of spent energy. My work is not intended to play on guilt about the natural world, rather to bring about knowledgeable links so that a line of thought can be built. To make the unconscious conscious, if anything I want my work to be a whisper in the ear, the thoughts that you were thinking.
