Biography

Works of the past ten years have been made exclusively with graphite powder in oil and resin suspension. The images are consequently part-painting part-drawing, with reference to photographic processes and organic formations. Larger works on aluminium were initiated during an Arts Council residency at the Eden Project, and included new associations with genetics research and microscopy. Recent sequences include waterfalls (referring to Hokusai), empty theatre stages, and marsh landscapes.
