A woven dome of hazel and willow sticks enclosing a cairn of glacial boulders. The work was made in early spring by pushing crossed sticks going in one direction and hazel in the other into marshy ground. The willow would 'strike' and grow and the hazel would rot and disintegrate in time. Eventually the work would return to nature leaving some boulders within a willow thicket.
