I am currently working with the gallery team and learning department at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and working in schools and colleges around south Yorkshire. During the last couple of years I have gained invaluable experience working with different age groups and abilities while keeping my knowledge of contemporary art up to date.
I am currently working with the gallery team and learning department at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and working in schools and colleges around south Yorkshire. During the last couple of years I have gained invaluable experience working with different age groups and abilities while keeping my knowledge of contemporary art up to date.
Along side my work as an educator I create sensory and illusionary art in the form of sculpture and installation, existing between the physical and intangible. These sensory contradictions question the human perception while being accessible to all as a subjective experience. This accessibility is very important to me as an educator and contemporary artist. My art questions the viewer’s surroundings and their perception of space by contradicting the physicality of form and the reality of our surroundings. My research lies in the areas of psycho geography and perceptual psychology; how a person is affected by their surroundings and the phenomenology of their subjective reality.
