'Never a Dull Moment - Drawing the Familiar' is a blog which is about my drawings where I post new work and write about it. The blog is also a diary. It began as a place to record the drawings I was making of my immediate environment in Pinner, part of the North West London suburbs. I have lived in Pinner for over 25 years and had never closely observed my neighbourhood. Through drawings I did this. I was attracted to key buildings such as the Anglican Church, where I spent time in the church itself drawing and writing. I also sought out the overlooked spaces which also meditated on the suburb as a distinctive environment. More recently my blog has widened in scope to include drawings and prints and references to recent and past projects. This process of writing and recycling thoughts is part of a process of creating new work. The blog is located at www.charlotteharker.wordpress.com
