A contemporary reworking of the historic Northumbrian theme of the vine scroll, or Tree of Life, inhabited by a creature. The carved repeats of leaf and grapes, in Caithness stone, have a Jay-like feeding bird in bronze inhabiting the scroll. Set at the front of a renovated housing project in Greatham village, south of Hartlepool.
