This painting was created from found objects and materials collected whilst sketching at Lamas Land, Cambridge and Paradise Nature Reserve. This includes, plastic packaging, a car gasket, foil and an old plimsoll. I cut the plimsoll up to create the trees and over painted with acrylic and used some of the materials as a brush. About the same time I read a hopeful report about scientists having invented a plastic eating microbe – this is represented by the car gasket.

Found objects and materials, acrylic on cradled birch plywood panel.
