From the series ‘The Mapping of Memory’, half remembered childhood recollections of the English landscape form the basis for these works. Entwining topographical detail with elements of abstraction, schematic maps of those mutable spaces between land and water or eroding field margins, question the fragility of personal memory. Fine scribbled lines act as inscriptions on the surface, interrogating the existence of borders and boundaries.
