Location: Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery

A new solo exhibition of work, derived from looking at and expressing the landscape in various painterly ways. Andy Sargent is a contemporary painter, who lives with a permanent spinal injury, so each work is not just a creation about the landscape, its also a an evident physical struggle to create a work of art in the first place. Using various techniques, twists on historical methods such as Fauvism, expressionism and some works bordering on abstraction, Andy has built a very varied collection of contemporary paintings that number over forty works. Some painted on location, others from memory, and some that take inspiration from digital images he has taken, this is an exhibition of colour, depth and emotion.
