Our group exhibition which has been touring Sussex since November 2018 is coming to an end. Looking back at my project which began as a residency, it began to grow, I explored the overlooked history of a female identity, a woman dating back to ancient roman time. The project involved working in the landscape where this woman resided, field trips were made, notes were gathered, drawings made in a studio in Eastbourne. I made connections with the Heritage museum, dialogue was exchanged the identity of this woman was formed. My photographic and video works shares histories and stories, participation and constructions were made. In the gallery space at Eastbourne, Brighton, Hastings and Worthing. A short artist video was made about my participation and practice, and pur collaborative approach of talks and new audiences and spaces each time was challenging and effective.
