The majority of my artwork is often created spontaneously without any particular dominating initial theme or concept, excluding a selection of my canvas paintings. I despise the idea that I may be limiting myself to creating something that I really want to create, whether because of not having the necessary materials, the space, the finance or feeling as though I am being limited to working within
The majority of my artwork is often created spontaneously without any particular dominating initial theme or concept, excluding a selection of my canvas paintings. I despise the idea that I may be limiting myself to creating something that I really want to create, whether because of not having the necessary materials, the space, the finance or feeling as though I am being limited to working within one particular theme, so I receive great pleasure out of creating spontaneous artwork with any materials that are available, including readymades and recycled objects.
As part of my practice as an artist, I am motivated to create artwork by knowing that the artwork that I create is both original and contemporary, and the surprise element of not knowing what I will create next is a very inspiring factor of my practice. I believe my art practice is contemporary and original and I thrive to create artwork that can be considered as inspiring, thought provoking, and motivating.
I am inspired to create artwork that revolves around or can be associated with concepts of world peace, individuality, experimentation or nature.
Though I primarily work with the art forms of sculpture, installation and painting, I do enjoy to experiment with creating artwork from a variety of art forms, including but not limited to; painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installation, video, sound, site-specific, interactive and participatory artwork.
