Biography

I am an American born visual artist who has lived in the UK since 2009. I began working professionally with textiles in 1995 when I began an independent studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I designed and created one-of-a-kind contemporary fiber art pieces ranging from large, privately commissioned wall hangings, textiles for interiors, and fashion accessories which I sold at shops in the Boston area.

I drastically shifted my art practice when I moved to the U.K., allowing myself to re-explore my work through drawing, painting and collage. My current works are formed by creating expressive paintings, most of which are then cut and re-cut, painted and re-painted, cut again, simplified, elaborated, reduced, and re-introduced. They are not conceived individually but as portions of an ongoing tale. Each, an artefact within an installation of a growing multi-dimensional neighbourhood.
