Twin Tornados Nebraska 06.03 Nathan Moore, 2022 - 2023 by Claire Cansick

Claire Cansick

Painted as part of my climate project 2022 titled You And I Are Earth, recording a year of climate change weather events as reported in mainstream media and social media. I reworked this painting to capture movement and the colour perspective as recorded in Nathan Moore's video of the twin tornados.

Untitled 4, 2021 - 2022 by Caitriona Dunnett

Caitriona Dunnett

Dunnett has been experimenting with incorporating the landscape into her process by working with materials foraged from the land. Phytography is a camera-less process that employs the chemistry of plants to create prints on photographic paper. These prints were made with leaves, petals and berries sourced close to her home in Warwick. She enjoys the materiality of this process, layering the flora directly onto the paper and exploring colour, marks and texture.

Colour Register #4, 2021 by Rachael Clewlow

Rachael Clewlow

Colour Register #1 - #10

This is a series of works produced in response to the life of Joseph Swan, physicist, mathmetictian and inventor of the light bulb . Clewlow retraced and recorded journeys Swan would have taken in the North East, living and working in Newcastle and Sunderland. Photographs and notes documented the process and colour swatches were taken from each one. These colours were grouped and matched to create this series of paintings

Worcester Open 2023, Climate Change Edition by Sharon Baker

Sharon Baker

Very pleased to have 'Large Water 1" selected for the Worcester Open 2023 This year its focus is on climate change, my manhole cover print is symbolic of humans harnessing natural resources for their own needs, though these systems are breaking down due to our treatment of the planet.

The show is on at The Art House, Castle St, Worcester from 12th January until 17th February.
