Lou is in the process of developing a collaborative multi-media photography/sound project, "To - Gather"; in partnership with a Nottingham Primary School and the Level 3 Diploma in Photography, at New College Nottingham. The collaboration will commence May 2012.
The theme is "cultural excess" and the activities include foraging, sourcing waste, and found objects. This multi-media, photographic/sound project combines traditional chemical processing; enlarging found objects, with digital applications, alongside using illustration techniques.
The starting point for this project is a series of photography and animation workshops, working with groups of pupils at a local Primary School in May 2012. The project will continue to develop in September 2012, whereby students on the Level 3 Photography Diploma at New College Nottingham will produce photographic pieces, using traditional and digital methods, and in response to the theme.
The culmination of the work produced will be publicly exhibited as a multi -media photographic/sound event, forming part of the Media Faculty’s' End of Year Show, in June 2013, at New College Nottingham.
