As a freelance curator I have a practice spanning more than twenty years, mainly working in Belgium. From 1987 until 1993 I ran the not for profit exhibition space Parbleu in Antwerp. After this, I worked as a freelance art critic and curator until I became director/curator of MDD-Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens in Deurle from 1999-2004. I then decided to go completely freelance again, curating the first edition of the Super!Triennial for Visual Arts, Fashion and Design in Hasselt (2005), the multidisciplinary Thursdays at deSingel in Antwerp (season 2006-2007) and the Multi/plier group show for Galerie Filles du Calvaire in Brussels.
Pivotal projects after this were Parallellepipeda - a research project on the collaboration between artists and scientists resulting in an exhibition spring 2010 at Museum M in Leuven, and wijheizij for the Belgian ngo Vredeseilanden in the summer of 2010 on the collaboration between artists and farmers.
In August 2010 I relocated to Plymouth where I am a contributing researcher with Transtechnology Research at Plymouth University and work part-time as BA Leader Fine Arts, Curatorial and Critical Practices at Plymouth College of Art.
All my freelance work is brought together under the umbrella of ed.projects - international art agency. As part of this I have set up the curatorial project Platform P together with curator/artist Ray White.
