Bettina Furnée's cross-disciplinary practice is specific to a situation, and uses language as a primary material. She produces text-based works in different media. The literary content is derived from research or collaborations with communities or writers. She executes commissions, exhibits and initiates environmental projects which investigate subjectivity and survival, and include moving image, web-based and participatory works.
